Soup Plus

 Have you seen this sign outside 1 Margaret St, Sydney (on the corner of Clarence St)?             

 After nearly 30 years at the same location, the Soup is finally moving to a new venue. But don't worry, the best of the Soup is moving with us - the good food, the relaxed atmosphere and of course, the great music.
Fit out of this new venue begins in late July 2004, and we thought you might like to follow the progress as we create the new Soup Plus - designed to be a music venue but with the old Soup Plus in mind.

                                                                      
Early August - the empty room. Looking from the front door to where the stage will be & back to the front door.

                                                        
         20 August - the mezzanine is starting to take shape.               1 September - mezzanine floor & walls going in.

                                                                     
   17 Sep - The stage - as seen from -            the mezzanine level -          which you can now walk up stairs to

                                           
   1 Nov - The electrical wiring is done, the walls have been sheeted, the timber floor is in and the tiling has started. The place is really starting
    to take shape.
 

26 Nov - The new servery is installed with the bar in the background and the kitchen is almost ready to start preparing soup.

And now the new Soup Plus is open for business and keeping the music live in Sydney.
